SKY Agriculture and INRAE: 40 years of innovation for sustainable agriculture
SKY Agriculture (formerly SULKY) and INRAE (formerly CEMAGREF-IRSTEA) are celebrating four decades of a unique partnership in innovation and sustainability. Since 1985, the two organizations have pooled their expertise to advance agriculture through cutting-edge technological solutions and environmentally-friendly practices.
This exemplary public-private collaboration has led to major advances, including :
- The DPX, a benchmark in fertilizer distribution control
- Epsilon blades revolutionize spreading consistency
- ECONOV, optimizing the efficiency and control of inputs at all points in the plot
- More recently, Speed Control, an innovation that automatically adjusts working width according to forward speed.
These technological advances were made possible by the scientific work carried out on the CEMIB test bench.
Today, this joint dynamic continues with ambitious new projects, notably in the fields of seeding and agronomic performance.
To mark this anniversary, a symbolic trophy was presented to representatives of SKY Agriculture and INRAE, testifying to a shared commitment to agro-ecology and long-term innovation.
” We’re proud of the ground we’ve covered together, and fully mobilized to meet the agricultural challenges of tomorrow “, say the two partners, who are also involved in the forthcoming arrival of the world’s first seed drill research and testing facility, SEEDLINE, at the AgroTechnoPôle in Montoldre.
This 40th anniversary celebration is a new impetus for more efficient, sustainable and responsible agriculture.
